At WM I drove a front load trash truck picking up commercial dumpsters for customers. It is my responsibility to follow the sequence and complete my schedule everyday. As well as being a safe and responsible driver. To be a safe and responsible driver I am always being caution of other drivers and pedestrians, Pre-Triping my truck to make sure everything is working properly and my safety devices are working.
As a supervisor I was responsible for two different lines and approximately 30 people given new hires and people moving departments. Here I continued doing what I did at Indiana Packers making schedules to complete orders complying with all the companies policies and procedures to produce safe and high quality pork products.
• On the job Observation and ergonomics, safety meetings, labor reviews, and production performance reviews were tasks that I had to do every week.
I started my career at Indiana packers as a production worker. Here I worked on the packaging line bagging butts, ribs and loins. I soon became a trainer in my department being responsible for the new hires and cross training.
• After spending almost a year as a trainer I wanted to further my knowledge and I was awarded the bid to become a QA Tech. As a Tech I would be responsible for making sure all of the product in my specific area was up to the customers specifications. As well as making sure product was being handled in a safe and clean manner.
• One of the more responsible roles in the QA department was being on HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). As the HACCP QA it is your responsibility make sure all areas in the plant are following all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), and making sure we are following all the policies and practices to comply with the USDA.
• The final position I had with the company would be a Production Team Lead for the Loin boning Department. Here I helped managed 25 team members under supervision from my supervisor. I would start the day doing set up, verifying labels to my schedule, place people in specific areas as well as rotating them to different jobs daily.
