  • Designed and developed transition metal oxide surface-engineered catalysts for thermocatalytic downstream processes under the guidance of Prof. Sebastian C. Peter
  • Prepared vanadium-dispersed titania (anatase) by the wet impregnation method at low pH, and tested for catalytic activity in a batch reactor at moderate temperatures (100-130 °C), using hydrogen peroxide as a selective oxidizer for methanol to formic acid conversion.
  • Characterizations performed for V-dispersed TiO2 include XPS, SEM, TEM, and powder XRD, and to confirm the products of catalysis, 1H-NMR, and HPLC were used.

  • Characterizations performed: Single Crystal XRD, temperature-dependent photoluminescence, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, powder XRD, DRS-band gap determination, FESEM, XPS, and TGA-DSC.
