Dhami Gulzar Singh

During my service of 35 years and 7 months as an Exploration Geophysicist in a Public Sector Undertaking, I contributed extensively to national mineral and energy resource exploration programmes through the application of advanced geophysical techniques, integrated interpretation, and multidisciplinary collaboration for subsurface evaluation. I worked in the field for 27 years pan India for data acquisition, Processing and interpretation. During next 9 years of service engaged as HOD & General Manager (Geological services) in managing all the activities in various projects of Geophysical surveys carried out pan India by MECL as well as in developing and introducing the latest technology in Mineral exploration. My professional work covered the complete exploration lifecycle—from regional reconnaissance to prospect maturation and drilling support—aligned with national objectives of mineral and energy security.

I was actively involved in the planning, design, acquisition, processing, and interpretation of diverse geophysical datasets, including Gravity, Magnetic, Electrical Resistivity, Induced Polarization (IP), Self Potential (SP), Time Domain Electromagnetic (TDEM), Magnetotelluric (MT), and borehole geophysical logs, across varied geological terrains of India. My responsibilities included optimization of survey design, quality control of field data, and implementation of modern processing workflows to enhance data quality and subsurface imaging.
