● Product costing of plastic, painting & sheet metal parts.
● Sending RFQ to suppliers, price negotiation, settling prices & finalizing suppliers.
● Procurement activities of commodities like electrical items, machining, casting, painting, plastic, sheet metal, fabrication, proprietary items, powder coating, plating, spring wire forms etc.
● Technical Feasibility Discussion with suppliers to discuss bottlenecks in meeting drawing requirements & approach R&D team for any drawing changes.
● Settling commercials, discussion & negotiation with suppliers to sign Purchase Agreement which includes all terms & conditions associated with parts purchasing.
● Visiting potential new suppliers for Audit along with QA team before supplier selection.
● Calculate RM Price rolling every 6 months by considering third party data, FE, LME & amend latest rates.
● Cost reduction activities to achieve target cost levels.
● Delivery follow up with suppliers to ensure OTD.
● Supporting SCM team for any critical delivery delay issues from suppliers.
● Assess capacity of suppliers by analyzing process lead time, machines availability, production run time, working shift hours, manpower availability, process efficiency, bottleneck process, rejection ratio, rework SOP & rework cycle time, transportation lead time.
● Procurement of mass production parts of above models.
● Export planning of around 600 parts to overseas plant (JCB Brazil).
● Weekly brainstorming session with team to discuss on bottlenecks in the key functions of SCM & sharing minutes of meeting internally.
● Work with vendors to establish inventory management strategies and achieve lead time reductions.
● Planning and scheduling as per firm & forecast plan given by PPC team.
● Manage vendor OTD performance & making improvement plan jointly.
● Fixation of Batch quantities with the suppliers based on average consumption & MOQ with the suppliers.
● Co-ordinating PIP & to minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
● Analysis of late deliveries and make an action plan along with suppliers, assess the capacity of suppliers along with sourcing team to come out of the capacity constraints.
● Floating RFQ to suppliers, assist in price negotiation & price settling.
● Issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
● Follow up with suppliers for OTD.
● Cost reduction activities to ensure target cost levels.
● Supplier Evaluation by analyzing schedule adherence rating.
● Release forecasts to supplier for next 3 months & review for RM availability & align supplier capacity planning as per schedule requirement.
