I started my career at the startup as a Recruiter, where my primary responsibilities included sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various positions across different departments. I worked closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements and identify the best talent, ensuring that candidates not only had the necessary skills but also fit well with the company culture. I maintained detailed records of the recruitment process, coordinated interview schedules, and provided timely feedback to candidates. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of training interns in the recruiting process, helping them understand sourcing techniques, candidate evaluation, and interview scheduling. I also attended meetings and events on behalf of my manager and boss, representing the recruitment department and ensuring that all team objectives were met. After three months, my performance and dedication were recognized, leading to a promotion to the Payroll Department.
In my new role as a Payroll Manager, I was responsible for managing the salaries and leave records for employees of our client companies. This involved maintaining and updating payroll data regularly, ensuring that all employees were paid accurately and on time. I meticulously tracked employees’ attendance, absences, overtime, and leave balances, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. At the end of each month, I entered all payroll-related data into Excel, cross-checked for any discrepancies, and generated salary slips for every employee. My attention to detail ensured that the payroll process ran smoothly and that employees received accurate salary slips, contributing to overall employee satisfaction. Through this role, I was able to hone my organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex administrative tasks, further fueling my interest in the management side of business operations.
