As the Editor of Digital Media at Guarantee News, a newly launched Kannada satellite news channel, I have been at the forefront of leading both our digital news platform and social media teams. This includes overseeing content strategies and operations across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter, ensuring timely and impactful news dissemination.

In addition to my editorial role, I actively contribute as a National and International News Correspondent for our satellite TV channel, delivering in-depth coverage and analysis on major events and developments.

I have also played a key role in conceptualizing our digital media podcasts, curating and coordinating high-profile guests from various sectors, including politics, cinema, and business, to provide diverse and engaging content for our audience.

Furthermore, in collaboration with our reporting and input teams, I have successfully arranged exclusive political interviewsfor both our digital platforms and television broadcasts, strengthening our channel’s reputation for credible and in-depth political coverage.

I worked as a Senior Digital Content Editor at Vijay Karnataka, the Kannada digital news platform of Times Internet, for over five years. During this time, I was responsible for writing and editing thousands of news articles in Kannada, covering a wide range of topics including regional, political, national, and international developments.

In addition to my editorial responsibilities, I also led the video content team, overseeing the production of long-form videos that provided in-depth coverage and analysis of major news events. I played a key role in shaping the platform's video strategy, ensuring engaging and informative content for a digital-first audience.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, I conducted numerous video interviews with prominent guests, including political leaders and subject matter experts, using virtual platforms to continue delivering timely and relevant insights to our viewers.

I served as the Output Head and Production Head at NewsX Kannada for approximately 1.5 years, playing a pivotal role in the channel’s editorial and production operations during a crucial political period.

During the 2018 Karnataka Assembly Elections and the 2019 Lok Sabha General Elections, I worked closely with our national reporting team to conceptualize and execute high-impact conclave events. These events featured in-depth discussions and analyses of the political landscape, public sentiment, and electoral trends.

We invited a wide range of prominent guests and subject matter experts from fields such as politics, commerce, education, and public policy to share insights and engage in meaningful debate. These conclaves were instrumental in capturing the mood of the electorate and presenting a comprehensive view of the evolving political scenario to our audience.

As the Output Team Lead, my core responsibility was to oversee and guide the channel’s editorial output, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery of all broadcast content. I led a team of bulletin producers, copy editors, and graphic designers, coordinating closely with them to maintain a high standard of quality and error-free output across all programs.

During live news coverage, special programs, and debate shows, I played a key role in managing the flow of content, ensuring that all segments were delivered on time and in line with the editorial vision of the channel.

Given the political focus of the channel, I was also responsible for sourcing and coordinating high-profile political guests for our shows, in collaboration with the reporting and assignment teams. My efforts contributed to delivering impactful, issue-driven debates that resonated with our viewers and added depth to our political coverage.

As a News Editor, I was responsible for overseeing the editorial workflow and content delivery across the channel. I led a team comprising bulletin producers, copy editors, and graphic designers, ensuring that every segment met our editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

I played a central role in managing the real-time execution of live news coverage, special programming, and debate shows, ensuring smooth coordination and timely on-air delivery. My focus was on maintaining editorial integrity while aligning content with the channel’s vision.

Given the channel’s strong emphasis on political coverage, I also took charge of identifying and coordinating key political guests and commentators for our debates and discussions. Working closely with the reporting and assignment desks, I helped facilitate insightful, high-impact programming that resonated with our audience and elevated the channel's credibility in political journalism.

As Output Team Lead, I oversaw the channel’s editorial workflow, leading a team of producers, copy editors, and graphic designers to ensure accurate, clear, and consistent content delivery.

I managed the live execution of news bulletins, special programs, and debate shows, ensuring smooth coordination and timely broadcast.

With a strong focus on political coverage, I also coordinated high-profile political guests and commentators, working closely with the reporting team to deliver impactful and credible political programming.

In my role as a Bulletin Producer, I was responsible for planning and producing live news bulletins and special programs, with a focus on trending stories, key political developments, and major business updates.

I led a team of copy editors, providing editorial guidance to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all content. My role demanded real-time decision-making, strong editorial judgment, and coordination across departments to deliver error-free, engaging news bulletins that met tight deadlines and upheld the channel's editorial standards.

As Bulletin Producer, I planned and produced live news bulletins and special programs, focusing on trending topics, political developments, and business updates.

I led a team of copy editors, ensuring content was accurate, clear, and consistent. The role required real-time editorial decisions and cross-team coordination to deliver error-free, high-impact bulletins under tight deadlines.

This role marked my entry into television media as a Copy Editor at ETV. During this time, I was honored with over 30 'Best Story' awards, recognizing the quality and impact of my editorial work.

Within a year, through consistent performance and skill development, I progressed to the role of Bulletin Producer, gaining hands-on experience in news planning, production, and live broadcast operations.

During my graduation, I gained early journalism experience by working as a part-time reporter and copy editor for a local newspaper in my hometown, Tumkur. This role provided me with a strong foundation in news writing, editing, and local reporting, allowing me to develop essential skills in storytelling, fact-checking, and meeting tight deadlines.

Covering a range of community events, political developments, and civic issues, I learned the importance of accuracy, local engagement, and journalistic responsibility—skills that have continued to shape my professional journey in the media industry.
