One of the projects that I consulted and provided end-to-end management for,
is the first online Global Kashmir Festival.
My tenure at Indic Academy (pro-bono volunteering service) began when the
organization was in its infancy and still attempting to find its brand identity and
vision and mission. I was a part of the initial strategy team and was involved
in nearly all aspects of the cultural non-profit. One of my personally satisfying
accomplishments has been to bring professionalism to a social enterprise, with
focus on communication, processes, delegation of responsibility and more.
Later on, I moved on to spearhead the Center for Indic Writers (now merged
with Indic Book Club) where I personally identified, encouraged, trained,
mentored, supported new authors and worked to get them published,
promoted and platformed. Being invested in the journey of these writers, I
worked with them through various stages.

a publishing label to support new authors, through a pioneering, innovative
outsourcing arrangement - the first of its kind in the non-profit sector!
While heading CIW,
• I enabled Grants to 6 new authors
• Organized book launches and promotions for than 50 books around the
world, created a network of authors under Indic Author Network (now merged
with Indic Book Club), comprising of more than 50 plus members and
• Curated and organized 40 online events branded as Indic Chats, years
before online events became a reality

I joined Nuance to handle Field Marketing for the Communication Service
Provider Division for South East Asia that included clients in India, Sri Lanka,
Bangladesh, Myanmar, Maldives, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam. I also
supported teams in AMEA, APAC, North and Latin America.
After a few months, I was also given the responsibility of PR for the region.
Subsequently my role expanded to include Global Product Marketing.
I worked on customized pitches for clients in SEA region and was an important
part of the strategic pre-sales discussion and presentation. During the course
of my stint with Nuance, I also presented a pre-sales pitch to CSPs in Vietnam
and Philippines. My extensive CSP Marketing experience helped me identify
WIIFM with regard to the clients and that made it easy for us to put our
products forward.

As the National Head - Music Derivatives VAS, I was a part of the Corporate Marketing Value Added Services Vertical,
responsible for Idea’s Music Derivatives VAS.
The role involved cross functional leadership and entailed preparing
and delivering the annual operating plan, product innovation, usage and
revenue enhancement, customer satisfaction, vendor management and
communication, among other responsibilities.
As the National Head - Information and Sports
VAS, I led a virtual team across India for Information VAS (News,Astro,Finance,
Lifestyle,Health,Education) & Sports VAS with the complete P&L responsibility
of the portfolio.
The Portfolio also included other products such as STK, DSTK and CBC.
