Flexible Keyboard (Oct 2013-Feb 2014)

• Production of a flexible keyboard that is implemented as a 5-wire resistive touch-pad made of foils, the conductive polymer PEDOT: PSS and a microcontroller board

• The purpose of the project was to first search for applicable touch-pad types by performing various measurements, secondly to build a working demonstrator and thirdly to program a software that actually operates the keyboard
Master thesis and Research work (May 2015 - March 2018)

Inkjet Printed Transistor (VoTFT)
• Material device research and engineering of inkjet printable organic ink for thin film transistors
• Fabrication of an inkjet printed VTFT and to understand its better functionality. Expertise on the usage of Dimatix Material Printer 2831 Research
• Used 3 different dielectric’s, 4 conductive inks and 1 semiconductor
• VTFT’s combinations were fabricated according to the dielectric materials used and their drop spacing
• Each dielectric has 16 different combinations of stacks respective to the inks used for Gate, Dielectric, source, semiconductor and drain
• In-total 1960 transistors were fabricated with different combinations and the I-V characteristics were analyzed
• Optical Characterization of the inkjet printed layers with Vecco DEKTAK 150 profilometer and Leica DM 4000 M material microscope
• Electrical characterization of VTFT’s by Keysight E4980A Precision meter, Probe system PM5 and Keithley 2636A Source meter
• The formulated ink with Anton Paar Physical Rheometer, Krüss GH 11 Mobiledrop
• Achieved higher ON currents and good ON/OFF current ratios compared with the works done so far in printed transistors
