EDM-EDW Migration

Description: Customer is Parexel, a leading Clinical Research Organization (CRO). Migration of the entire ETL process from Informatica and Oracle to Databricks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Executed data processing with Azure Databricks, ingesting data into Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Warehouse.
• Leveraged Databricks for reading data from storage accounts, and efficiently implemented bronze, silver and gold layer Architecture.
• Utilized features such as ACID transactions and schema enforcement for enhanced data reliability.
• Created and managed Delta tables in data lake storage, employing formats like Apache Parquet and Delta Lake.

CMDM-Interface Changes

Description: Customer is Parexel, a leading CRO. Responsible for loading clinical data into the Data Warehouse and delivering it to clients as Data Marts. This involved the process of extracting data from websites and loading it into CMDM Data Warehouse, then transferring the data from the Data Warehouse to the client's extract as Data Mart. Executed these tasks in ETL Informatica tool.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyzed requirements from Business Analysts and reviewed Mapping Documentation.
• Developed requested changes in mappings using Informatica PC and SQL.
• Conducted thorough unit testing on the implemented changes.
• Utilized tools such as Power Center Repository Manager, Power Center Designer, Power Center Workflow Manager, Power Center Workflow Monitor, Oracle SQL, ALM, and JIRA.
