- The Site Project Architect will play a crucial role in overseeing the architectural design and construction of a Railway Redevelopment Project (Currently enrolling in ERNAKULAM TOWN Railway Station Redevelopment Project) and will work closely with Project Management Service (PMS), site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project.
- Conducted a Pre-tender site visits to Katpadi, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Kollam, vishakapatinam, Varkala Sivagiri Railway stations and made presentation to the clients (Contractor) as well to the Railway authorities about the site constraints.
- My Role as a Site Architect:
- Develop and maintain architectural plans, designs, and specifications for the Railway Redevelopment Project which included Good For Construction (GFC) drawings, Site drawings, Change of scope drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate architectural requirements with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems (MEP).
- Coordinate with Project Management Service (PMS) and Railway Authorities to get approval of all 2d, 3d drawings.
- Conduct site visits and site surveys to assess existing structures, determine site constraints, and identify site challenges.
- Collaborate with external consultants like fire norms etc. and contractors to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Review and approve architectural drawings, material samples, and construction documents.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Resolve any design-related issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.
- Provide guidance and support to junior architects or drafters working on the project.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Co-ordination with vendors and contractors to incorporate input into project designs for eg. False Ceiling, DGU glazing, Flooring, Handrails etc.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in railway architecture.

- During my architectural internship at Oak Projects, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects, including the Factory Hub and PEB Materials developments. Throughout this experience, I gained valuable insights into the design and construction processes for large-scale commercial buildings. From conceptualisation to execution, I was involved in every stage of these projects, from creating detailed drawings and models to coordinating with contractors and engineers.
