- 1. Compliance reporting suite is a group of regulatory reporting applications (fxcom, fxtram, iReports) which reports wire transactions across FX application to regulators.
- Responsibilities:
- Led development of ISO project for reporting in SWIFT MX/UPO format: The transactions are now reported in MX/UPO format in place of existing MT format. This involved multiple aspects starting from the challenging field-mappings at all upstream/downstream systems and integration with new systems
- During development the biggest challenge was to precisely manage the field mappings across all systems. In order to resolve this, build a prototype message using Google.gson library and worked with the business and architecture teams to compare the results from MT vs MX formats.
- Implemented regulatory enhancements in existing Anti Money Laundering flow; new changes for CLS, Baton and Novation flows from scratch.
- Designed and built the UI for CFTC reporting to enable users view/edit/replay trades by using Ext Js and Rest Services.
- Solved performance issues in FXTRAM by implementing threads/archival strategy which improved the GUI refresh rate by 25%.
- 2. Standard Transaction Hub is an application to report prime trades across prime services spaces to Broadridge for book-keeping purposes in FIX format.
- Responsibilities:
- Involved in design/development of new in-house application to migrate from 3rd party application: worked on implementation of many components like core, response, reporting, amends, audits, silos, etc.
- Core/Response flows were most challenging they interface with many upstream/downstream applications. Built few mocker components to get quick results; configured multiple SIT/UAT environments to support integrated tests of many initiatives in parallel.
- Led migration of application to PCF cloud which was complex. I was the first to accomplish this in Capital Markets space.
- Led integration of CI/CD devops tools.
- Automated of various day-to-day monitoring tasks using unix shell scripts to save time of 80 hr/month.
- Scaled up application leveraging Silos approach.
- SPOC for almost 5 years in IST time-zone with full ownership and responsibility. Also, managed a team of 5 as tech lead.
