  • DUTIES AS CLINICAL ATTACHE

  • As a clinical attachee in the Neurology Department of University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire under the guidance of Dr Thomas ,I got a wonderful oppurtunity to be a part of the Medical Team in various aspects of patient care and departmental operations. As It was my first exposure to the NHS , It helped me a lot to understand the system and its functioning Here are some Duties I had.

    CLINICAL OBSERVATION AND SHADOWING
    Observe neurologists and other healthcare professionals during patient consultations, examinations, and procedures.
    Shadow senior staff to learn about the diagnosis , management of neurological conditions and to understand the system better.

  • Had an opportunity to work as a gastromedicine SHO for a period of 1 year in a Prestigious Institution-1100 bedded hospital ,in the State.
    As the department which handles many emergency situations like Gastrointestinal bleed , Hepatic Encephalopathy , Acute pancreatitis , Terminal Cirrhotic Patients etc , I had various responsibilities that contribute to patient care and was also actively involved in Teaching Sessions and Mentoring of Medical Students

    Has done Blood sampling , IV Cannulations , Urethral Cathetrisations , Ryles tube insertion and Abdominal Paracentesis throughout this period.

    Assisted Anesthetists and Senior Colleagues in advanced procedures like Endotracheal tube intubation , Central line insertion in COVID ICU.
