Summary

A dedicated Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) graduate with comprehensive clinical exposure, bringing a strong foundation and clear understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics-further strengthened through a one-year clerkship and a one-year internship in tertiary care hospitals. My training helped me bridge clinical knowledge with practical application, sharpening my skills in therapeutic management, evidence-based decision-making, patient-centered care, and data auditing. I also gained valuable experience in antimicrobial stewardship, supporting rational use of medications and improving clinical outcomes. Backed by a robust academic background, my research experience includes my thesis titled "Knowledge, Attitude, and Awareness on Menstrual Hygiene Management" and a published paper on the "Understanding of Pharmacoeconomics of Substance Abuse" in a reputed peer-reviewed journal-reflecting a deep commitment to evidence-based research. With a consistent record of interdisciplinary collaboration, I bring hands-on experience in ADR reporting, adverse event identification, case documentation, and clinical data interpretation, with a strong interest in drug safety and pharmacovigilance. I am currently pursuing SAS Programming to strengthen my analytical and safety data management skills aligned with ICSR processing and pharmacovigilance operations.

Publications

  • Understanding Pharmaco-Economics of Substance Addiction: An Observational Study, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2024. This observational study analyzed the financial burden of substance addiction among 209 participants, predominantly in the 20-25 age group. High prevalence was seen with caffeine (76.6%), alcohol (14.4%), nicotine (12.1%), and cannabis (3.2%). Hospitalisation costs averaged ₹11,000-14,000 per visit across substances, adding to procurement expenses and withdrawal-related challenges. The study concluded that addiction imposes major economic and health burdens, underscoring the need for counselling and preventive measures.

Under Consideration:

  • Article titled ‘Knowledge, Attitude and Awareness of Menstrual Hygiene among Adolescents and Adults – A Cross-Sectional Observational Study.’
