The Biochemistry department at AIIMS handles a massive volume of samples. we are the frontline managers of these diagnostic operations.

  • Supervision of Automated Labs: Overseeing the functioning of high-throughput analyzers (Chemistry, Immunoassay, and Point-of-Care testing).
  • Quality Control (QC): Monitoring daily internal QC and external quality assurance (EQAS) to ensure lab results are accurate and reliable.
  • Report Validation: Reviewing and signing off on complex reports, such as electrophoresis, specialized hormonal assays, or metabolic profiles.
  • Troubleshooting:

Biochemistry isn't just about test tubes; it’s about patient care. SRs act as consultants to other departments.
