PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I am a passionate medical doctor dedicated to providing world standard and the best patient care possible. I started my career in 2017 as a young medical graduate and the experience gained over the years have made me grow in humility, become more compassionate and responsive to patients' needs & concerns. As a medical officer committed to patient care and willing to do more to save lives, I volunteer to do community work in my free time and just recently, I spoke about Women’s Reproductive Health on a national television station

I have spent over 4 years in medical practice and have acquired vast knowledge in patient care. I had my internship at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the premier teaching hospital in Nigeria fitted with over 1000 beds. I was exposed to a wide range of cases in the four major units I rotated through: Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G). We had an average of 30-50 admissions per unit daily and an average of over 200 clinic & emergency cases daily which I was involved in the management.
I proceeded to the do the compulsory service year in which I gained more experience. I was the Corps medical director and in charge of the camp clinic under the supervision of Senior doctors from National Hospital, Abuja where we managed over 8,000 corps members and carried out a few basic surgical procedures. After the 3-week camp, I was posted to Federal Medical centre, Jabi where I worked for a year as a medical officer (FY2) in Surgery and O&G, and their respective Emergency postings. I gained further experience in procedures such as suturing, wound dressing and management, ENT procedures, episiorrhaphies, management of labour, assisting caesarean sections, vacuum aspirations management of hypertension, medical and surgical emergencies.

Shortly after the end of the service year, I started working at a Cardiology clinic, where I worked hand in hand with top Cardiology consultants and others in medical specialists like Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and so on. I gained competence in skills like performing and interpreting ECGs, Holter, ABPM, assisting in Echocardiography, Spirometry and management of most medical emergencies. This multi-specialty facility expanded my scope and enhanced my practice positively. The clinic has a high turnover of patients requiring various medical needs with cases like Hypertensive heart disease and complications like Hypertensive urgencies and emergencies, myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, Aortic Stenosis, Valvular heart diseases, heart failure, arrhythmias, diabetes mellitus, Diabetic ketoacidosis, dermatological problems like
I have hands-on experiences working with patients and possess extensive medical knowledge and skills accrued from years of working in different postings across various specialties. I also possess strong interpersonal skills to engage patient management effectively and succinctly, while able to confidently communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. I have worked with a lot of teams and headed some as well thus acquiring leadership roles. This has afforded me a quick and methodical approach with the ability to work amidst constrained timelines within a team or autonomously.

I have experienced working normal hours, and also provide out-of-hour services and weekend cover & I'm willing to accept corrections and welcomes criticisms to help improve my practice experience.

My 11 years long career has been very focused on growing and excelling in Pediatrics where I am so passionate about. I have worked several years back in Egypt in Cairo and other cities where I served in the city's largest or second largest hospitals. The past 5 years have been wonderful. I have served in a small Island in Shaviyani Atoll with a population of 1000 people and also at IGMH, one of the most reputed hospitals in the Maldives. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I had a large role as a Front Line Officer to help the facilities throughout the city and nearby islands. I am proud to have saved many lives of children during my career in the Maldives and contributed to improvement of medical services in Pediatric department of IGMH continuously with my experience.

 I am a licensed medical doctor with over five years of clinical experience spanning multiple specialties. I obtained my medical degree from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus and am currently registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. My interests lie particularly in holistic wellness, reproductive health and population health. I have led community outreach programs focused on reproductive health education for adolescents and am deeply committed to preventive care and health promotion. With additional training in functional medicine and nutrition, I integrate a holistic approach that emphasizes the impact of lifestyle and nutrition on overall well-being. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Public Health, I aim to contribute to health systems strengthening and address the broader social determinants of health on a global scale.
