Clinical & OPD Responsibilities

Independently managed a high-volume General Surgery OPD, evaluating patients with a wide range of surgical conditions including hernias, gallbladder disease, breast disorders, thyroid conditions, GI complaints, soft tissue swellings, and trauma follow-ups.

Conducted pre-operative assessment, surgical counselling, and postoperative follow-up in OPD.

Coordinated diagnostics, interdepartmental referrals, and treatment planning for both elective and emergency cases.

Operative & Emergency Responsibilities

Performed and assisted in elective and emergency surgeries, including:

Laparoscopic and open appendectomy

Laparoscopic and open cholecystectomy

Inguinal, ventral, and umbilical hernia repairs

Excision of soft tissue swellings, lipomas, cysts

Breast surgeries including biopsies, lumpectomy

Minor procedures (I&D, debridements, suturing, biopsy).

Took routine 24-hour emergency duties, managing trauma, acute abdomen cases, polytrauma stabilization, and surgical critical care.

Clinical Responsibilities

Independently managed OPD, IPD, and Emergency patients, including trauma, acute abdomen, soft tissue infections, and post-operative cases.

Performed and assisted in a wide range of elective and emergency surgeries, including:

Appendectomy, cholecystectomy

Breast surgeries

GI surgeries

Minor procedures (incision & drainage, debridement, suturing, biopsy)

Took regular 24-hour emergency duties, managing polytrauma, penetrating injuries, and critically ill surgical patients.

Led pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care including fluid management, wound care, pain management, and complication handling.

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

Actively participated in case presentations, mortality & morbidity meetings, journal clubs, seminars, and departmental audits.

Involved in teaching and clinical training of MBBS students, interns, and junior residents.Contributed to departmental research and clinical documentation when required.
