➢Title of Thesis “Development of methods for precious metal ion detection and isolation from brine”
➢Designed, Synthesized and characterization of the new Macrocyclic and Acyclic Ionophores for important oceanic metal ions (Li, Sr etc.) and employment for detection studies and extraction studies from aqueous/brine systems.
➢ Designed Synthesis and characterization of new dual functional Task Specific Ionic Liquid and functionalized materials for hazardous and heavy metal ions (Hg2+, Ru2+. Pd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+ etc.) and employment for detection studies and removal studies from aqueous/brine systems.
➢ Mapping/Exploration, Enrichment and Extraction of precious metal ions involving separation of various ionic components that may interfere in the efficient recovery of the above elements through precipitation method.
➢ Tackled array of tasks under watchful eye of project supervisor, and provided assistance with preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts and presentations.
I have worked on research problems of varied nature and acquired expertise over various instrumental techniques I am well versed with the following instruments such as NMR, HPLC, GC, IR, UV, LC-MS, GC-MS, Flame photometer, Column Chromatography, Flash Chromatography, Glove box, PXRD, XPS, BET analysis, SEM, TEM, HR-TEM, and ICP-OES etc
Expertise in MS Office programmes, commendable knowledge in chemistry software such as Chem Bio Draw, Mest ReC, MestReNova (For NMR analysis) and Origin and Unscrabler (For UV, PXRD, XPS and IR analysis)
Our team have accomlished the societal program in the year 2018 with social guideline and focused for sake of humanity on "Value added Agriculture" and "Means of Protecting Environment" area. In this project we collected voluntarily the wasted marine algae, examined the inorganic micronutrients contents, plant growth regulator and developed the bio-fertilizer. Apart from that, we also interacted with local fishermen, farmers and small-scale businessmen to involved in the seaweed collection, and teach them "How to make Bio-fertilizer" and create awareness of its market potential through mass gathering, cost-free lectures and practical training.
