Industrial Experience

Managing a team of 4-6 FTEs in multiple FTE project/FFS for drug discovery projects. 

Hands on experience in synthesis projects of heterocycles, nucleoside functionalization, carbohydrate, long chain lipids synthesis (MW>1500) as well as expertise in purification techniques for milligram to gram scale by using chromatographic techniques, Combi flash chromatography, trituration, distillation, etc. 

Expertise in doing projects comprising multistep synthesis (>12 steps) in small to large quantities of chemical entities for drug discovery. 

Literature survey in the field and identification of synthetic routes. Expertise in characterization of products through interpretation of various analytical data 1H, 13C, 19F-NMR, 2D-NMR (HMBC, HSQC), MS, GCMS, UV, FTIR Elemental analysis. Good exposure in carrying out various named reactions, including air and moisture sensitive as well as metal-catalyzed in both mg-gram scale. 

Well experienced in carrying out high pressure reactions in Parr shaker and other high pressure autoclave reactors.

Experienced in vapour phase fluorination via flow chemistry reactor operation employing heterogeneous catalysis in production of fluorinated compounds (process development of pharma API and fine chemicals) using HF gas.
