Ph.D. Research Title- Cognitive Analysis of EEG Waveforms Before & After Modified Yoga Using Neuro-feedback Application


Synopsis: EEG Is a Test Used to Evaluate the Electrical Activity in The Brain. Brain Cells Communicate With Each Other Through Electrical Impulses. An EEG Can Be Used to Detect Potential Problems Associated with This Activity. Nowadays Stress Becomes a Major Problem in Adults. It Is a Non-Invasive Method of Placing the Electrodes in The Scalp for Recording of Brain Waves Through EEG. To Acquire EEG Waveform, To Train the Patient with The Mind Power Yoga, To Compare EEG Waveforms Before and After Modified YOGA, To Analysis the Signal Waveform Using LABVIEW & MATLAB, To Attain the Accurate Comparison for Proposes a Better Diagnosing Technique to Increase the Focusing Level, Concentration Power of The Individual and Also Reduce the Stress, Anxiety and Depression Level of Modern Generation through yoga therapy. This research also identifies suitable types of yoga practice used to reduce the mental workload, cognitive function, and thus reducing the suicidal thoughts among them.


PG Research Title- Comparison of EEG Waveform Before and After Yoga


Synopsis: Nowadays stress become a serious problem of adults due to various problems. In order to control stress, Modified YOGA is very much essential. This paper we are going to study about the electrical activity of human brain signals obtained in the normal rest state and after the Modified YOGA for normal adults. The purpose of this study is to get a better relief from stress by doing YOGA. EEG is taken by RMS maximums 24 EEG machine along with the EEG acquiring software for the normal adults at the age of 18-21 then it was analyzed by the EEG analysis software. First the samples were selected and EEG waveforms are recorded without exercise, the same is done after doing the Modified YOGA. By using RMS EEG analysis software, the waveforms are compared and we have shown that the brain waves are more effective after doing exercise.


UG Research Title- STUDY OF HYPOGLYCEMIA USING EEG SIGNALS


Synopsis: To study hypoglycemic episodes by acquiring EEG signals and estimating linear & nonlinear parameters and train using back propagation neural network. In this project we have acquired EEG signal for hypoglycemic and non-hypoglycemic patient and its linear & non-linear parameters were studied. The linear parameters are power spectrum, variance, entropy. Non-linear parameters are hurst exponent. The following graph of power spectrum, variance, entropy and hurst exponent shows the difference between hypoglycemic and non-hypoglycemic patients. The values of hypoglycemic patients were high compared to non-hypoglycemic patients. These five parameters were given as input to back propagation neural network and it was trained. The sensitivity and specificity were achieved around 80% which efficient compared to others.
