I'm a medical doctor with a passion for clinical research. With work experience in a diverse range of medical, pharmaceutical, and research settings, I bring to the table the skills of a clinician, researcher, and editor.
Currently, I'm a PhD student in the Dept. of Neuroscience at Monash University. I'm involved in a range of projects on epilepsy, stereotactic electroencephalography, and sudden death in epilepsy (SUDEP).
I enjoy intellectually stimulating work, and thrive in challenging environments.
I am a part of UNCOVER, which is a team of researchers at the University of Edinburgh that conducts a series of rapid and rigorous reviews to guide health policy-making. At UNCOVER, I have worked on projects commissioned by the World Health Organization and the UK Health Security Agency.
As a research assistant at the Department of Neurosurgery at Cannizzaro hospital, I worked on multiple research projects on neurosurgery and radiotherapy topics. I independently performed peer review, critical appraisal, literature review, manuscript writing, statistical analysis, and formatting for a range of projects and saw them through to publication in peer-reviewed journals.
At Cactus, my job involved ensuring that medical research papers were drafted as accurately, clearly, and concisely as possible, and followed well-established scientific writing conventions. I edited more than 2.2 million words (648 assignments) in a diverse array of medical disciplines, with 100% deadline conformance and high quality (an average 'Outstanding' rating of 75% over 2 years, based on author feedback).
At Accenture, I was engaged in the pharmacovigilance activities of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. I was responsible for performing the medical review of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the therapeutic areas of Oncology and Neurology.
