Work History

Junior Resident(Non-Academic)

Dept of Neuromedicine AIIMS Kalyani
01.2024 - 04.2025

In the Department of Neurology at AIIMS Kalyani, my contribution was primarily in outpatient care and referral services. Initially, I worked under close supervision of my Head of Department and faculty, where I learned systematic evaluation of neurological cases and appropriate use of diagnostic tools. Over time, I gained the confidence and skills to independently handle the OPD, managing patients with conditions such as headache, epilepsy, stroke, neuropathies, and movement disorders. I was entrusted with evaluating referred cases from other departments, formulating management plans, prescribing medications, and counseling patients regarding lifestyle modifications, treatment adherence, and follow-up schedules. By efficiently managing these responsibilities, I reduced the workload on faculty members while ensuring timely and effective patient care. I also participated in departmental discussions and case-based learning, which contributed to the academic and clinical growth of the unit. Overall, my contributions in both departments were directed towards strengthening patient care services, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, and supporting the institutional mission of delivering high-quality healthcare. These experiences helped me refine my clinical judgment, enhance my procedural and communication skills, and develop the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Junior Resident(Non-Academic)

Dept of Burn and Plastic Surgery AIIMS Kalyani
06.2023 - 01.2024

During my tenure as Junior Resident in the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, I was actively involved in the management of trauma patients requiring hand surgeries and skin grafting. My responsibilities spanned the entire spectrum of patient care, beginning with pre-operative evaluation, optimization of patients, and counseling of both patients and their families. In the operation theatre, I assisted senior surgeons in performing various procedures including tendon repairs, fracture fixation of hand bones, and split-thickness skin grafting for trauma-related soft tissue defects. I also played an important role in post-operative care, which included monitoring of graft and flap viability, wound care, pain management, physiotherapy guidance, and long-term rehabilitation planning. In addition, I regularly performed outpatient-based minor procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and intralesional therapies for keloid management. I was also responsible for ward rounds, documentation, coordination with nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to aseptic and institutional protocols. Through these activities, I contributed to improving patient outcomes, maintaining efficient workflow in the department, and ensuring continuity of care.
