

Dr. Poorva Joshi is currently receiving training from Vidushi Manjusha Patil of Pune.
A topper in Visharad, she has completed her Alankar Purna Degree from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi. She has graduated in Commerce from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.
Dr. Poorva has placed in the top few percentile in her UGC-NET-JRF Exam as well as topped her M.Phil Course in University of Delhi.
Dr. Poorva has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in music from the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi. She has performed at various prestigious platforms and received scholarships and awards including Sahitya Kala Parishad (Govt of NCT) Scholarship, CCRT (Ministry of Culture, Govt of India) scholarship, KN Mulay Scholarship awarded by Padmashree Pandit Madhup Mudgal, State Trading Corporation scholarship among others.
Festivals she has performed Khayal Solo at, include Sopan - Festival of Young Musicians and Dancers held at Central Park, Connaught Place in New Delhi. She has also performed Khayal solo at the Octave Festival organised by CCRT, held at CCRT, Dwarka, New Delhi. In December 2023, Poorva performed at Pandit Jagdish Mohan Smriti Sangeet Samaroh organised by Sangeet Sarita, New Delhi.
She has performed extensively across India, US and UK as part of the Gandharva Choir.
Poorva participated in the All India Indian Classical Vocal Music Competition 2020 organized by Pandit Shree Atul Desai Foundation held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She received the third prize in the semi classical category.
President of Dhwani- the Indian Music Society of Lady Shri Ram College in the year 2015-16, she composed a 20 minute piece based on Raag Bihag. Won various competitions across India.
Poorva is a registered teacher and examiner with Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and has been training students since 2020.
Featured among 100 power women in the Wommennovator magazine 2026 Vishakhapatnam edition.
Poorva has 7 research papers and a Book to her credit. The book is called "Sangeet- Sankshipt Saar Manual by a UGC NET Topper, a guide to crack the UGC NET Exam"
Dr. Poorva was a part of the Mozart choir of India under Bharat Ratna Pt Ravi Shankar- toured Austria in 2007. Visited Germany as part of Cultural Exchange program in 2011.
