Induction versus Non-Induction therapy in Living Donor Kidney Transplantation
I conducted a prospective observational study of Induction versus Non Induction in Living donor kidney transplant recipients. The 2 groups were matched for age, sex, comorbidities and dialysis vintage. It was noted that patients who received Induction therapy had lower rates of Acute rejection and infections versus the non induction group. This was an important observation contrary to the belief that induction therapy leads to higher rates of infection and mortality.
