I AM CURRENTLY WORKING HERE AS A CLINICAL ASSISTANT IN ANAESTHESIOLOGY AND PAIN MANAGEMENT SINCE 6 MONTHS NOW UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF DR.HEMANT MEHTA (DIRECTOR AND HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OF ANAESTHESIOLOGY AND PAIN MANAGEMENT), WHO IS ONE OF THE MOST CELEBRATED ANAESTHESIOLOGIST IN THE COUNTRY. I AM ACTIVELY ASSISTING IN ANAESTHESTIC PROCEDURES, RANGING FROM REGIONAL TO GENERAL ANAESTHESIA, HANDLING DIFFICULT AIRWAYS , DOING FIBREOPTIC INTUBATIONS ON A DAILY BASIS , SECURING DIFFICUT INTRAVENOUS AND CENTRAL LINES. I HAVE BEEN REGULALY DOING NON OPERATING ROOM ANAESTHESIA AS WELL THAT INCLUDES SCANS UNDER ANAESTHESIA, DAY CARE PROCEDURES LIKE OESOPHAGO GASTRODUODENOSCOPY, COLONOSCOPY, ERCP ,EUS AND ESWL.I ALSO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN ON-CALL DUTIES AND TEACHING SESSIONS.THIS EXPERIENCE POST MY RESIDENCY OF 3 YEARS HAS DEFINETLY ADDED TO MY KNOWLEDGE, HELPED ME UPGRADE MY SKILLS BY TRANSITIONING FROM A SEMI GOVERNMENT TEACHING HOSPITAL TO A PRIVATE TERTIARY CARE CENTRE.
