Clinician Related
• Analyze department mix and need for new services.
• Address the requirement for new consultants and recruitment of suitable consultants.
• Analyze performance of retainers/non-retainers and suggest actions if any to the Hospital Director (HD)
• Optimize the cost structure for various types of clinical staff, including DNB, Fellow, JR, SR, Specialist, Registrars, and Associate Consultants.
• Review junior clinical manpower and rationalize (as needed) for effective functioning of clinical departments.
• To prepare and implement Medical AOP (Annual Operating Plan) for the unit.
• To collaborate with clinicians for marketing, branding, and social media activities in alignment with the code of professional conduct.
• Monitor clinical compliance and regulations, (NMC, State Medical Council, Clinical Establishment Act).
• Oversee credentialing and privileges for all doctors, involving other stakeholders including Corporate and Regional Team, and document approvals whenever there are exceptions to the laid down process.
Documentation and Medical Records.
• Ensure adherence of clinical documentation in OP/IP/Diagnostics/ER/ICU/OT records/other clinical areas and informed consent by doctors to be in line with policies of the organization/accreditation and regulatory/NMC requirements.
• Implement a monitoring mechanism for adherence of important clinical processes and document the same (E.g. – double coding for surgeries / Documentation in clinical records / Consent process / Effectiveness of patient safety measures like Surgical safety check lists, MET / PET, Effectiveness of Medical cover when consultant goes on leave).
• MDT meetings/ Morbidity meetings/ Mortality meetings/ Clinical audits, all committee minutes/ Tumor board/ Peer reviews (especially Lab and Radiology).
o Selection and recruitment of medical professionals
o Managing and monitoring their rosters and day-to-day duties
o Coordination with Senior consultants for closing any gaps of medical manpower requirements
o Create a highly motivated and organized medical team.
Languages: Web Certification in NIIT.
