• I have recently been appointed as a full-time Resident Medical Officer in the Emergency Department. My primary responsibilities include:
• Provided routine and emergency medical care to patients.
• Educated patients about procedures, conditions and medications.
• Collected information about patient histories, current conditions and vital statistics to make accurate determinations about conditions.
• Performed clinical procedures such as collecting blood.
• Interpreted diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Completed patient referrals to other medical specialists.
• Trained and supervised medical students and residents engaged in special activities and procedures.
• Established and maintained effective communication with staff, physicians and community organizations to promote high quality patient care.

•My responsibilities as a full-time resident medical officer in Anesthesia and Critical Care include:

• Ensure patient management plans are reviewed at least twice daily or more.
• Behave in a professional manner at all times towards staff, patients, and their carers, which respects the rights of the individual.
• Adhere to departmental policies, protocols, and procedures that ensure the provision of clinically acceptable intensive care practices.
• Participate in clinical review and quality assurance programs to monitor and maintain standards of practice.
• Provide a professional clinical service to hospital patients.
• Support a team approach to the provision of clinical services.
• Adhere to and support practices that ensure patients' rights are respected.
• Investigate and address patient complaints in a positive, constructive manner.

I have been appointed as a full-time resident medical officer in the oncology department. My primary duties :

• Provided emergent medical care and treatment for life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
• Teamed with other physicians, specialists, and health care providers to provide well-rounded care for complex cases.
  
• The assessment and management of new patients will be done in consultation with the supervising consultant. Additionally, we will review and follow up on ward patients who have come in through outpatient clinics. During my rostered hours of duty, I take part in all duties associated with inpatients. This includes assessing new admissions, coordinating care, managing the day-to-day progress of assigned patients in the ward, and making arrangements for discharge and follow-up.

• "As a Resident Doctor in the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, I successfully managed to work in various critical areas such as the Minor Operation Theatre, Major Operation Theatre, Ward, and OPD. My department comprised a 30-bed ward with ICU beds, which gave me the opportunity to work under challenging conditions and enhance my skills."
• I have performed a range of procedures in the Minor Operating Theatre including wound debridement, dressing for diabetic foot and burn patients, suturing/stapling minor and major wounds, keloid injection, and assisted in the reconstruction of arteries/veins and fasciotomy.
• Moreover, I have assisted in several complex surgeries in the Major Operating Theatre including split-thickness skin graft, flap reconstruction, amputation, urethroplasty, webbed finger surgery, and cleft lip reconstruction.
• In the ward and OPD, I managed all kinds of burns cases and associated conditions such as metabolic and respiratory disorders. I also conducted pre-surgical evaluations, post-surgical management, and follow-up care for patients.

Time management - the decision of initiating appropriate and timely surgical care between emergency patients and emergency theatre for trauma cases, negotiate with theatre management for operating time for all hand cases.

• During my time at a Manipal Hospital, I worked as a Resident Medical Officer, responsible for providing consultation and management to both pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient setting.
• And performing General Medical Examinations.

Performing daily patient assessments, conducting examinations, and providing supervised medical management.

• Ordering and monitoring appropriate investigations to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate medical records.
• Making necessary modifications to therapy and treatment plans.

• I began my medical career at this hospital as a Casualty Medical Officer. My responsibilities included attending to patients of all ages who experienced medical emergencies.
• Managing a complex patient group with significant illnesses and multiple comorbidities.
• Maintaining optimal communication with the team during complex and stressful situations
• Assessing, diagnosing, triaging and treating patients under the direct or remote supervision of an Emergency Department Consultant.

• Assisting the Consultants in planning, organising and implementing the delivery of clinical services.

• Ensuring appropriate documentation in patients' medical records, including written Emergency Department opinions and requested medical reports.

• Throughout my 1-year Rotary internship, I gained extensive experience and became highly skilled in various medical fields, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Neurology, Psychiatry ,Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine. I confidently took patient case histories, prepared comprehensive case reports, and performed basic clinical procedures with ease. Furthermore, I assisted senior doctors in complex clinical procedures and surgeries, and reviewed medical case reports with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. My time as a Rotary intern has undoubtedly given me the confidence and expertise to excel in any medical environment.
