  • Description: The Federated Catalog Tool MS was developed to address the challenge of identifying product data inconsistencies across multiple systems used by Verizon, including DMP, DPI, CPI, Fusion, Elasticsearch, Redis, EPC, Federated DB, and the CXP. Previously, locating mismatches required manual inspection across layers, which was time-consuming and error-prone. This tool automates asynchronous data extraction and validation across layers, streamlining root cause analysis and ensuring catalog consistency for Devices, Accessories, Plans, Promotions and other flows

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designed and implemented asynchronous data fetching and comparison mechanisms to validate catalog data across diverse systems.
  • Developed backend components to extract and normalize data from source platforms (DMP, DPI) and downstream systems (Elasticsearch, Redis, Federated DB).
  • Built a reusable comparison engine to detect critical mismatches in product attributes such as price and product name, regardless of downstream logic or transformations.
  • Led development efforts for key catalog flows including Devices, Accessories, Plans, and Promotions.
  • Implemented JUnit test coverage for core modules to ensure robustness, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Participated in the design and deployment of database stored procedures used for data operations and reconciliation.
