  • Lead the Distribution, Receiving, and Scheduling teams: 14 team members, 4 team leads, 1 shift lead, and 1 salaried inventory coordinator.
  • Setting up the team schedule to keep all hours covered across three shifts, operating a five- to six-day work week, coaching and mentoring the team, and disciplining the team as needed.
  • Ensure the team stays on task, delivers materials to production in a timely manner, and receives them in trucks properly.
  • Manage raw and pack materials for inventory accuracy.
  • Keeping a close eye on the purchasing of all raw and pack materials for the plant, and communicating issues seen to the purchasing team to ensure that materials arrive when needed.
  • Maintaining inventory levels to avoid any shelf-life issues, and to be sure we have enough space for all materials needed.
  • Work closely with carriers and vendors to ensure all materials are delivered as scheduled.
  • I have been working on a project to have both the shipping and receiving teams work closer together to better support the teams and have off-shift leadership.
  • Work closely with the demand planning team to understand customer needs.
  • Worked through a headcount reduction project in 2022 in order to better align the warehouse to business needs, reducing headcount by 7 team members.
  • Manage the scheduling of finished goods items to be run on three separate lines in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Leading team members to maintain a scheduled plan three weeks out in SAP.
  • Monitor finished goods items that need to be shipped to the four outside cold storage facilities to satisfy upcoming customer orders, and generate the STOs to satisfy demand.
  • This role extended my responsibilities from just managing the receiving warehouse to managing the distribution warehouse as well.
