Community Service
The Power of Children Award, Indianapolis, IN, Constructed Pretty Pockets, which are used to hold a bulb that is required for women with breast cancer after they have completed their breast removal surgery. With the help of sewing guilds, we successfully created over 8,000 pockets which were hand delivered to hospitals by me. The Power of Children Award is awarded only to 5 people per year throughout the nation, who have positively benefited the members of their community in a significant way.
