Surrey-Langley Sky Train (Canada): Client /Owner Sky Train (February 2025 – Present)

The scope of work includes to check for Clash detection, space reservation amd coordination by developing of the 3D BIM for the Rail, Fastening Systems, Joints/welds, Buffer stops, Special Trackwork, LIM Panels, Walkway & Crain of both the Inbound and Outbound tracks of the Surrey-Langley line Sky train .

Expo Line LIM Replacement (Canada): Client /Owner Sky Train (September 2024 – Present)

The scope of work includes the installation of LIM rail on elevated, at-grade, and tunnel tracks along the Expo Line from Waterfront Station to King George Station (approximately 40 km), replacing older design components with newer ones, tracing existing track alignment using as-built data, logical positioning LIM panel layouts, developing detailed drawings, and preparing comprehensive design reports.

SNCL Steam Charter Gauging: Client /Owner SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit Ltd (December 2022 – Present)

The scope of work involves supporting the delivery of National Gauging certificates for specific steam locomotives. This entails conducting Gauging Analysis using the National Gauging Database (NGD), which includes extracting infrastructure surveys from NGD and analysing them for implementation according to NR/L2/TRK036 standards. These efforts are crucial for updating the Gauging Compatibility Certificates for the Steam Locomotives in the 2023/24 year.

I was responsible for performing gauging assessments for each vehicle, creating individual Excel sheets for both vehicles and routes, and developing a gauging checklist to ensure compliance with client requirements. Additionally, Furquan generates worst-case scenario plots for each steam locomotive and submits them to the client.

Central Rail System Alliance - CRSA:Client/Owner – Network Rail, UK (December 2022 to present)

I was responsible for carrying out various Track alignment design along with the clearance runs, preparation of gauging reports and drawing for various projects. The scope of work was to renewals of the new track for entire stretch. In this role, I utilized a range of specialized software tools to streamline the design process such as Bentley Power Rail Track for designing and drafting, which enabled me to create detailed and accurate track layouts. For gauging analysis software called ClearRoute 2 were used. Additionally, MS Excel and MS Word to prepare comprehensive design reports that were crucial for project documentation and client communication.

HAbOG: Client/Owner – Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), India (June 2022 to July 2022)

During my internship at HAbOG, my primary role revolved around the meticulous preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for a range of state road projects in Kerala, adhering strictly to the guidelines set forth by KIIFB. Additionally, I actively participated in the creation of drawings using Civil 3D software.
