Work History

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Indiana University South Bend
South Bend
06.2023 - 08.2023
  • I conducted research under Dr. Andrew Schnabel and Dr. Deborah L. Marr on the endangered plant Phemeranthus rugospermus (Fameflower). My work involved scouting native and manmade sites to gather data on plot area, plant density, flower & leaf count, and pollinator activity via timed trials. We also conducted a pollination study to evaluate different pollination techniques and then collected fruit and seed data to assess the effectiveness of each method, aiming to support conservation efforts.
  • Awarded the SMART research grant.
  • Provided essential preliminary data on Phemeranthus rugospermus to offer a basis for continued investigation and conservation.
