  • Worked as a Research Associate for one year at IIT Roorkee on a project titled “Heat Resistant Weld Joints of Dissimilar Steels for Thermal Power Plants” under the supervision of Dr. D.K. Dwivedi.
  • Experiments performed on Dissimilar Joining of P92 with 316L through A-TIG.
  • Characterization work such as optical microscopy, SEM, Hardness test, Charpy Impact Test, and tensile testing of weld joint was performed in the project.
  • Dissimilar joining and process parameter optimization of Cu-Steel, Cu-Al, Steel-Al, and Al-Mg through Diffusion Bonding were also explored during my tenure in the project

Bhilai Steel Plant

  • Project Title: Job know-how in various departments of integrated steel plant
  • Duration: 10 Weeks.

I have gone through various departments of the plant, such as Material Testing Laboratory (Quality control), Coke Oven Batteries, SMS II (Steel Melting Shop), Blast Furnaces (BF-7), CHP (Coal Handling Plant), etc., and understand the various processes and work done in the department.

  • Additive Manufacturing, metallurgical characterization techniques, mechanical testing, processing of Titanium alloys such as Ti6Al4V.
