Work Highlights


Media Management

  • Developed a new media strategy to reinforce the positioning of Sun Pharma as a market leader, gain trust and build credibility.
  • Announced the acquisition of Ranbaxy by Sun Pharma in 2015. Organized a Press Conference and select one-on-one interviews in Mumbai with the Managing Director.
  • Launched India's first new drug by Ranbaxy, Synriam. Organized the launch event and a Press Conference in New Delhi.


Brand Building

  • Positioned Mr Dilip Shanghvi as a thought leader in the Indian pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Launched a campaign, Sunkalp for the welfare of doctors, their families and communities at large in India in July 2021.
  • Developed a corporate identity toolkit and branding guidelines to ensure consistency in branding across all the global subsidiaries of Sun.


Digital

  • Developed a global strategy for expanding the digital presence of Sun Pharma.
  • Responsible for establishing and managing the social media presence of Sun Pharma across Twitter, Linked In, Facebook and YouTube. Increased followership and engagement across platforms.
  • Revamped Sun Pharma's global website to align it with global branding guidelines and improve functionality.


Internal Communications

  • Launched an internal campaign to showcase the strengths and leadership of the merged organization (Sun Pharma + Ranbaxy).
  • Implemented change management communication at the time of merger of Ranbaxy with Sun Pharma and thereon.
  • Developed and rolled out the new Vision & Values of the company across the global organization. It has helped to establish a strong foundation for the brand.
  • Created and launched a global intranet for Sun Pharma. The platform has emerged as a dynamic medium for internal communication globally.


Crisis Management

  • Developed a strategy, narrative and response mechanism to deal with the whistle-blower allegation against Sun Pharma. The whistle-blower crisis broke out in 2018 and it was settled in 2021.
  • Handling of Indian media to avoid manufacturing plant shutdowns during Covid-19. This was achieved through regular press briefings and ensuring correct reporting in media.
  • Media management during the signing of Consent Decree and subsequent reports about Ranbaxy’s product quality issues in the US & India.
