• Worked on Mainframe Operations Project as a Data Center Operator and supporting Mainframe operational activities, infrastructure services and Batch Operations 24X7

Key Result Areas:

• Implementing day to day operational activities which include system health checks, console operations/monitoring and Batch monitoring
• Performing necessary actions required for resolving the incidents within the given SLAs
• Performing IPL on all the LPARs during the maintenance windows and troubleshooting the issues that comes during the process
• Investigating and taking necessary actions for alerts on production systems, handling resource contentions and replying to the WTOR's that comes on Consoles or LPAR's
• Responsible for handling each production batch job failures and escalating to appropriate support group if required and fixing critical batch halts within the SLAs
• Strong understanding of the CA7 tool
• Involved in troubleshooting and addressing batch halts on CA7 to make sure the batch completes on time
• Hands on experience in Job restarts, demanding a job with & without triggers, JCL overrides, monitoring CA7 queues like Request, Ready, Active queues and checking late queues
• Perform routine procedural activities for incidents and situations, collect operational data and create or maintain operational documentation
• Investigating and troubleshooting abnormal processing conditions & making appropriate response decisions and also follows escalation process when appropriate to resolve within time
• Involved in various development and support teams meeting to execute the operations and scheduling requests successfully
• Evaluated diverse organizational systems to identify workflow, communication, and resource utilization issues.
