1. Synthesis, Characterization and Catalytic activity of Dioxido-uranium (VI) and Dioxido-molybdenum (VI) Complexes
a. Ligand synthesis and Characterization,

During my Bachelor’s studies, I have performed a lot of experiments in organic synthesis, inorganic as well as in physical chemistry. I have performed many name reactions during my Bachelor’s and master’s and some of them are Coordination complexes of Ni, Titrations, pH metry, Bromination of aniline, nitration of toluene, determination of b.pt and M.pt, Qualitative analysis of organic and inorganic compounds. In my Master’s Project, I worked on the synthesis, characterization and catalytic activities of Dioxidouranium and Dioxidovanadium Complexes. I have completed synthesis and characterization of ligands and complexes but due to covid catalytic activities were not performed. After Completing my Master’s from IIT- Roorkee, I got campus placement to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL), one of the Indian MNC pharmaceutical organization. I have started my career in DRL as a Technical trainee in Research and Development lab of APIs (Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients). I have learned from basics to advances about the organic lab techniques like basic reactions set up, Air sensitive reactions working under nitrogen atmosphere, how to develop TLC for different reactions, Azeotropic setup, isolation, crystallization, handling of Rotatory Evaporator and many more. To confirm the product formed, we use differentanalysis tools like HPLC, NMR, IR, UV, LC-MS, GC-MS. As a R&D Scientist, we must interpretate the data from different Analysis so I have fine knowledge of Interpretation of data from various analytical data. Now days, I am a Process API Scientist and have been working every day in R&D department. My work generally includes New Route synthesis of APIs, Impurities preparations and troubleshooting of routes. I am dealing with different kinds of reactions like Substitutions, Cyclization, Functional group conversion and C-C coupling reaction (Suzuki coupling). In Conclusion, I feel I have enough experience of handling organic reactions and knowledge to understand them well. My experience makes me suitable candidate for this Ph.D. Position.
