Duration: May 2023 – January 2024
Team Size: 15
Role: Technical Lead

The FNTS project focused on migrating legacy desktop and web applications to the cloud using Harness Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines. Approximately 150 legacy applications were successfully transitioned from on-premise environments to AWS (Dev, with UAT and Production environments planned). The initiative involved detailed analysis and preparation to ensure a seamless migration path and minimize downtime.

Key activities included analyzing each application’s registry entries, database connectivity, DLL versions, file/folder structures, and dependencies. All migration configurations and deployment workflows were created and managed within Harness using YAML files stored in Bitbucket for version control.

  • Defined and reviewed deployment strategies for on-premise, AWS Dev, UAT, and Production environments to ensure smooth rollouts.
  • Conducted in-depth analysis of desktop and web applications (registry entries, DB connectivity, DLL versions, file structures, dependencies) to design accurate migration plans.
  • Created and maintained Harness pipeline configurations (YAML) and integrated them with Bitbucket for efficient version control.
  • Provided technical leadership by guiding team members on DevOps best practices, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely delivery.
