• Prepare Piping deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they confirm to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures
• Experience with piping design for prefabricated modules and skids
• Develop and check of 3D models for complex commodities like Towers, Columns, Reactors, Air Fin Coolers, and Compressors etc.
• Study & Preparation of access platforms for battery limit valves and equipments
• Nozzle orientation study for various equipment such as columns, vessels etc.
• Reviewing of various vendor drawings like Pumps, Compressor, Static Mixers, Desuperheaters, Filters, Heat Exchangers, etc. and implement in design
• Develop Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts and 2D Piping General Arrangement Drawings for FEED studies
• Extracting PCF for all stress critical lines with the possible support locations and incorporate stress analysis comments into the design
• Fixing the locations for Utility Stations, Steam and Condensate manifolds, Fire hose stations etc. in the Plant layout
• Work with Lead and other engineers to develop concepts/Conceptual studies, Equipment Layouts/ Safety & Escape Route Layouts for piping designs effectively meet project requirements.
• Assist, remodel and update the model based on the Internal, Client reviews, latest Supplier information and isometric checking comments and maintain the clash free model
• Undertaken the role of being a technical lead to a team of designers and AUTOCAD operators
• To be highly capable and confident in developing brownfields concepts, FEED through to execution, in a seamless fashion working with all other disciplines in design and Engineering project personnel
• Preparation on demolition plan layout and demolition Isometric drawing for the brownfield projects
• Preparation of Tie-in datasheet and markup for existing facilities in the brownfield projects
• Modeling of Equipment & Pipe routings in accordance with P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and stress requirements.
• Selection and modelling of Pipe Supports as per the Project Support standard in Engineering Software
• Extraction/Preparation of Equipment layout drawings, Piping GAD's, Pipe Support GAD'S, Safety layouts, Special Pipe Supports.
• Perform Clash checks, Data Consistency checks prior to issuance of IFC deliverables.
• To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
• To provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
• Assist in the coordination of all activities related to piping engineering design
• To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of piping engineering design and analysis
• Co-ordinate with Inter-disciplines in timely manner to avoid rework for finalizing the Piping design.
