I have explored a variety of career pathways, and through this journey I discovered my passion for secondary education while studying at Federation University. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed every opportunity to engage in teaching and learning environments. I am now seeking a position within a school where I can continue to develop my confidence in the classroom, build meaningful connections, and contribute to the school community while completing my degree.
My background includes completing a Sports and Recreation Traineeship in 2022, as well as my current role as a Development Officer with the Western Bulldogs Football Club. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of students, develop strong communication skills, and foster positive learning experiences. While university placements have provided valuable insights into teaching, gaining employment within a school setting would be an invaluable opportunity to further my professional growth and begin shaping my career as an educator.
This role involves working with children within schools and the wider community. This can include working at Auskicks, school clinics, community events, game days and many other Western Bulldogs events which pop up throughout the year.
My primary role is to facilitate Australian rules football based lessons for groups of roughly 20 - 30 students. These usually involve small games and skills sessions.
