Real Time Threat Detection Using Machine Learning
All places where security is concern have CCTV cameras installed indicating increase in manual surveillance, which is inconvenient, time consuming and inefficient. Security involves detecting various threats like theft, violence, and potential explosions. Traditional systems require constant human attention and large datasets for video-based analysis, making detection—especially of group violence—challenging.
The main goal of this application is to identify weapons in the surroundings, such as gems, knives, and fire, and to notify management of the potential threat by sending a screenshot to the user interface. When a weapon is held towards a person, this app notifies the authorities.
Automatic Synchronised FSM Based Traffic Light Controller
Worked on designing a Traffic Light Controller, which functions as a sequential circuit. Xilinx Vivado is used as the development and analysis tool, with implementation carried out on the Nexys-4 Artix-7 FPGA board. The design focuses on optimizing access to shared intersections and efficiently distributing green light time among different traffic directions, particularly during peak and off-peak hours. The system aims to reduce vehicle waiting time during off-peak hours, making it more efficient than current traffic control systems. Future enhancements may include additional features to adapt the controller to diverse traffic conditions at various locations.
