Roles & Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance:
- Operations and Maintenance of All Broadcasting equipments in the Digital Video Broadcasting system.
- Ensuring proper functioning of CAS across all subscribers, CAS packages testing & deployment.
- Responsible for routine checking of CAS, EPG, PSI/SI, compression and also addition & deletion of channels as & when required, trouble shooting, maintaining good quality, etc.
- Maintaining Digital head-end equipment like network management system for all head-ends across India.
- Performing operations & maintenance of Harmonic server based 10+1 compression chain.
- Responsible of continuous transmission of CNTPL different clients.
- Tracking the antenna on various satellites, receiving feeds from different satellites for clients and also receiving feed from Bureaus & OB Vans at central hub.
- Ensuring Product & Package creation using CAS Tool Topology.
- Responsible for Encryption and right management of services n events.
Technical Support:
- Providing technical support service at the teleport; extending (24x7) support for any critical issues.
- Supporting the STB development team in testing, fault finding and deployment of software release for the STB.
- Handling various projects to determine new capabilities needed to support new development.
- Responsible for Debugging between CAS and SMS (Subscriber Management System) as well as Networking Elements.

Installation / Configuring / Testing:

- Installing & configuring IRD, Encoder, Multiplexer, Digital Content Manager (DCM), XDQA and Head-End equipments like Harmonic, Scopus, Trans lite, etc.
- Planning & implementing digital Channel line-up.
- Testing features of different CAS system.
- Handling fibre connectivity for channels from various parts of India.
Liaison & Co-ordination
- Liaising with various stakeholders including different departments, teams, clients, vendors, etc.
- Co-ordinating with different satellite operators & vendors.

- Training the Engineers on Teleport, DVB-S2, DVB-C head-end & CAS.
