Roles And Responsibilities

Design, Develop and Certify Nacelle Enclosure components for NPI Projects for Various Onshore and Offshore platforms of Wind turbines. Create, Review CAD Drawings, TPS, PS, Risk assessments, Design Descriptions, DFMEA, DVPL, DVPR, DVRE, Cover module requirements. Review the Tailored design solutions by following the product design and development methodology. Support to manufacturing: molding, tooling, industrial processes. Support to validation through design of specimens. Define design rules, procedures and processes contributing to maintain and improve design manual. Having a good experience working in CAD design tools: 3D& 2D (Creo / FiberSim / Catia V5 CPD composite module). Good understanding of composites materials and design in general Wind turbine blade design and Nacelle Enclosure: ply definition, adhesives, manufacturing processes. Engaging with stakeholders in different parts of the vale chain. Experience managing small teams in Porto 4 Engineers, India 4 Engineers, Consultants 4 Engineers. Creating resource and project detailed planning in form of man hour budgets and project timelines. Driving the technical solutions with internal design team and multiple sub-suppliers / solution providers during design and development phases of blade and Nacelle Enclosure design, e.g. conceptual design, detailed design, prototyping of rotor blades and Nacelle Enclosure. Working knowledge on PLM / Engineering Change Management process (like PDM Windchill). Knowledge on Geometric Production System / GD&T. Having good exposure to Surface modelling preferably using Creo. Filed a Patent related to Wind Turbine Nacelle Enclosure Application Number: 16/332,644 and successfully implemented this patent idea in the Turbine. Certified Six Sigma Green belt DMAIC Training and Successfully completed a Blade Material simulation Project using DMAIC procedure which improved the quality of the blade manufacturing and Reduced lot of wastes. Technical Reviewer for PR, CR, CN for Nacelle Enclosure components. Generated Various Design guidelines, Checklist, Supported Automation for Enclosure Design and Blade Design to improve the process. Captured the Lessons learnt from the OSOS, Prototype, During Design findings and converted that in to Design Guidelines, Checklist and Automated the process to improve the Process – Awarded for this execution. I am Technology subject matter expert in this composite area in Vestas. Reviewing and signing off the design details.
