Verizon Wireless, (branded and referred to as Verizon), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon Communications Inc. Verizon Wireless provides wireless services to 123.5 million subscribers and it is headquartered in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, United States.

My Verizon(app, desktop, kiosk) is the self-serve application for all Verizon subscribers to manage their accounts and to do transactions such as paying bills, tracking usage, purchasing new plans, ringtones , devices etc.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing existing monolithic applications and converting them into microservices architecture.
• Developing and exposing Restful APIs to different channels such as Desktop, App , kiosk machine.
• Developing libraries to connect and consume external services.
• Writing custom algorithms to improve the computing logic thereby improving the response time.
• Worked on common error handler using Spring.
• Created Aspect for logging all service calls using Spring
• Designing cache architecture for the applications to fast retrieval of data.
• Implementing parallel API calls to improve response time to clients.
• Unique gateway layer to a client to aggregate data and return client specific response.
• Developing fine grained microservices which is used as a common code for all clients.
• Migrating microservices applications using Spring discovery mechanism to Kubernetes based containerized platform.
• Modifying existing microservices applications to work on K8s Platforms.
• Creating new K8s service for all external systems.
• Maintaining ingress ,autoscaling , CPU utilization configurations for all K8s services.
• Managing K8s pods, config map and sealed secrets for all K8s applications.
• Trouble shooting K8s pods and services.
• Managing helm deployments and releases.
