- Led the team from beginning to end of complex migration of data from old/legacy data(CDW) ware house to new data warehouse(CDP).
- This migration is planned for 4-5 times before but postponed due to the complexity of ETL transformations, larger testing scope and dependency of various downstream on the existing data warehouse.
- BCRS is one of the downstream which is heavily depending on existing datawarehouse to report credit risk numbers to regulators as per Basel norms.
- BCRS stands for Basel Calculation and Reporting Solution which consumes the data from various upstream, apply the transformations as per Basel guidelines and report the final Capital numbers and Risk Weighted Assets of the clients to Regulators.
- This CDW to CDP migration is planned for 2 years in a phased manner. Part of BCRS I was involved in preparing test strategies for each phase. Reviewing the test strategies with change team and final business stakeholders and procuring the signoff's.
- Coordinating with both datawarehouse teams to receive control and dat files for the control-m batch run. Acknowledging the file receipt, Moving the files from upstream shared path to staging area using unix/linux commands.
- Performing file consolidation before loading the files from staging area, ensuring all required files for batch run are received. Triggering the jobs in control-m and tracking the progress using SQL queries in Sql Developer and Linux commands in Putty.
- Validating the Functional/Config changes as per Functional Specifications Document(FSD), Validating the performance of the application including job timings, batch failures on account of new data sourcing
- Performing Regression testing by comparing the end results between Baseline and SIT environment. Taking out the difference in KRI's causing number movement, analyzing the differences, justifying in case of valid reason, raising bugs in case of any upstream data issues in Jira/ADO,
- Following up with upstream to receive revised files in case of data issues. Perform the batch rerun, Walkthrough the final results after rerun with country stakeholders and procuring the signoff
- Led 5 members from testing team through out the migration phases and ensured they are up to speed in a short span of time and raising critical severity bugs in early phase. This leadership ability been applauded by multiple stakeholders from dev, front line business, business solution and data acceptance testing teams.

- As an ETL tester from Day1 of the project started learning curiously about various applications, automation tools available in the project.
- There was an bank level initiative to generate reports on a daily basis. This is a very complex change to application as by then reporting is happening on a monthly basis.
- This particular change has a very larger testing scope including automated control-m batch runs, file staling in case of missing files for batch run, functionality to wait for files until certain duration.
- Performed multiple batch runs to simulate and test each scenario as per functional specifications document. found handful of bugs and ensured zero defect product go-live.
- This particular initiative was termed as foundation stone to generate reports to regulators on a daily basis for various other countries as well. This helped business to forecast the month end credit risk numbers well ahead and prepare adjustments to end results before submitting to regulators.
