System Testing of Body Control Module(BCM)

Mazda (Japan)

Description :
BCM is responsible for monitoring and controlling various functions in a vehicle’s body. The BCM “talks” with other on-board ECUs via communication busses: CAN, LIN… also BCM ECU eliminates the need for this additional wiring. In BCM I worked on modules Like CAN, UDS, Fault manager, WPC, Door Lock, Immobilizer and Shipping Mode and Smart key Learning to BCM.


Roles & Responsibilities :
• Requirements analyzing and Test case development.
• Setting up the fault free with Rx messages and Routines and Did’s
• Reporting, Tracking, Retesting and closure of defects after bug fix.
• Capturing & analyzing the requirements for ECU system architecture
• Performing automation testing using Canoe tool and providing test reports.
• Make the Hardware setup ready.
• Supporting dev team for bug fixing and feature development
• Prepare and share the summary report to the customer
• Inject the crash and make sure airbag Prepared documentation for end user training.

Short-range Radar (SRR)

Description:

The project is to implement the functionality of RADAR is to detect objects around CAR and give information to driver. This includes object detection, diagnostic testing of RADAR ECU. Diagnostic testing of all implemented services over CAN and Ethernet based on UDS.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Requirement analysis for DIAG module and review Execution of test cases for RADAR.
  • Tests execution in CANoe through automation and manual.
  • Logs analysis, defects raise and defect the life cycle.
  • Test execution report preparation for each release after testing.

Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

Description:
System Testing of Passive Safety product Airbag ECU – ACU (Airbag control unit) Tested functionalities of ENS (Event Notification Signal), Data Recording for crash events (Event Data Record), Battery Disconnect scenarios, Vehicle Status Data. Operational modes, DCS Seatbelt sensing, Emergency call, Remote sensing unit. Also tested CAN and UDS areas for the same project


Roles & Responsibilities:
• Understanding the requirements and Executing test cases based on System specifications and requirement documents for AIR BAG Validation.
• Setting up the fault free with working loops after connecting to simulated sensors and actuators using HIL simulation.
• Finding the defects &follow the status
• Raising issue using defect tracking tool (JIRA) and checking status of issues and verifying the issues in software release.
