VehicleMart

Project Description:

The purpose of this project is to gather pricing data from various sources and summarize the listed price and odometer reading by Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and Calendar month. This data is then utilized by Sonic’s Data Analytics team as an input to their pricing applications to determine the best market value for the used and new cars.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Architects, Application Managers and other experienced professionals to understand their business model, applications, requirements so as to come up with best suited and optimized solution, and design for all their requirements which will solve the business problems.
• Understanding the business model of Sonic Automotive and learning about all its modules like Sales, Revenue, Pricing, Appraisals, Inventory etc.
• Extracting data from various sources – On-premises, SFTP, Blob Storage, and then directing to optimized storage in Datamarts.
• Leading various POCs (Proof of Concepts) of cloud migration project and analyzing the pros and cons of it and further finalizing on the best tech suited for project.
• End to end support for existing processes and provide immediate fixes for critical data issues.
• Achieved client appreciation on helping them to cover more vehicle reports per day.

ETL BI

Project Description:

The Sonic Business Intelligence team wants to derive valuable insights from the eLead CRM data to cater their various reporting applications. To facilitate this need, they further want to implement a mechanism that will be identifying any discrepancy in the data and make the stakeholders aware of the data quality issues.

Skills Demonstrated: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, SSIS, SQL, Data Warehousing

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with Business Intelligence Team for end-to end understanding of the business needs and Database Administrators to store, organize and manage data which ensures design, consistency, quality, and security of the data to design better ETL framework and optimized solutions.
• Designing Datamart and Datawarehouse using Dimensional Modelling to effectively store data and make it available to analytics team for their business needs. Additionally applying sanity check to identify critical data issues.
• Identified and resolved complex issues by applying advanced analytical and troubleshooting strategies.
• Reformulate highly technical information into concise, understandable terms for presentations

Project Description:

Digital data team at JTI (Japan Tobacco International) has instituted a mechanism to generate and socialize multiple reports for different internal stakeholders with varying cadence to understand ecommerce performance and social presence metrics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Requirement analysis and solution outlining.
• Designed and defined the end-to-end data architecture.
• Developed highly scalable and automated data pipelines for data ingestion from diverse data sources, applied business rules to refine and transform the data and made it available to cater various reporting needs.

Standard Analytics

Project Description:

Japan Tobacco International (JTI), a leading multinational company uses SAP as their ERP tool to store all their business-related information. As a part of migrating the workloads from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA, they also need to redesign their entire analytical platform which could be used by the auditors to perform effective data driven audit for different entities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Helped the IAD team in transitioning and redesigning the entire analytical platform to perform effective data driven audit for different entities.
• Developed different audit objects out of the SAP data stored in ADLS Gen2 under different business processes present like P2P, O2C, F2S which are then utilized by the downstream applications to perform different test cases
• Designed and developed data flows for different test cases (data driven audit processes) in Dataiku.
• Provided solution to recurring issues.
• Provided customer required solution in a timely manner.

Project Description:

Internal project, improvement of an existing company portal by migrating the existing workload from ECC to SAP S4 HANA.
