Fred Meyer Jewelers acquired the Littman Jewelers chain that operates in the eastern United States. The parent company of Fred Meyer Jewelers was acquired by The Kroger Company. They also started having online store to sell their products. Similar products will be available with both jewelers, Fred Meyer and Littman. In these (Fred Meyer and Littman) websites, a customer can purchase a product as guest as well as by registering into website. We will have different offers to customers based on different seasons and occasions. We have used third party integration for validating customer's address and credit card validation. Front end of the application is developed by .Net and backend is maintained by Commerce server.

They have internal websites where they circulate the news, announcements and other company related information internally. Depending upon the type of user they will give access to particular departments. This application is already developed in Asp.Net with custom Content Management System. They want to migrate this application to SharePoint. We have developed a custom web parts to achieve the tasks depending upon the client requirement. In this portal they have different departments like HRNews, Newsletters, and Announcements etc. Depending the type of user logged in, we have to show particular to that user. We developed web parts with custom properties. For example, to display a particular field from particular list, user has to provide the list name and field name while configuring the web part. This was achieved by loading user control dynamically. We also a web service, based on the selection of type of news the data will be displayed which will be retrieved from third party service providers. We have also integrated obout (http://www.obout.com/) controls in this application.
