Objective:
Led a project focused on consolidating student data from diverse sources, encompassing approximately 15 million records. The objective was to integrate all collected student data into a unified data warehouse and develop a system facilitating the traceability of student progression from infancy to university.

Approach:

• Orchestrated the aggregation of data from disparate sources, including Excel, CSV, SQL-backup, and APIs, into a singular entity.
• Executed data cleaning and transformation processes, encompassing duplicate removal, data type adjustments, and more.
• Automated processes utilizing Excel Power Query Editor and importing into pg_sql.
• Implemented index creation based on business requirements, such as deploying the B-Tree Index on demographic dimensions (district, block, institute) to optimize data retrieval via SQL queries with demography filters.
• Utilized query optimization techniques like table partitioning based on the academic year.
• Developed various views, materialized views, stored procedures, and functions to extract diverse business insights.
• Managed scheduled tasks, including user login deletion, leveraging SQL agent (pg_agent).
• Instituted logical backup processes at regular intervals to ensure data recovery readiness.

WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD, Kolkata, 05/2023, 03/2024

Objective:
The project focused on increasing the sanction and disbursement rates for student loan applicants, as well as improving credit card distribution.

Approach:

• Collected data from databases and surveys conducted across different districts.
• Utilized Power BI for data cleaning and transformation processes.
• Applied measures, DAX, calculated columns, and other analytical techniques to reveals key insights to inform strategic actions.
• Generated Management Information System (MIS) reports to monitor progress and enhance efficiency.
