On-line DPR preparation, Project Evaluation, Sanctioning of project, Project Monitoring, Quality Assurance, De-centralized Distributed Generation scheme, Standard Bidding Documents for Sub-transmission and Distribution schemes namely DDUGJY-RE, DDUGJY, Saubhagya of Village Electrification, Household Electrification and System Strengthening were looked to delivered my tasks.

Involved in sanctioning, execution, quality control assurance, fund released and closing of projects Indian Government Schemes likes Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti Yojana - Rural Electrification (DDUGJY-RE), Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), Saubhagya and other ongoing rural electricity projects. These projects are improvements of Rural Electrification backbone in India like Distribution Sub-stations, 33 KV and 11 KV lines, Distribution Transformers Substations in India by 100% electrifying un-electrified villages, Intensive Electrification of Villages.

Following works have been completed above projects:

1) Un-electrified villages – 1,27,410 Nos (Maximum in Utter Pradesh 29K, Bihar 26K, Jharkhand 20K, Odisha 17K and Assam 11K),

2) Intensive electrification of electrified villages – 6,57,466 (Maximum in UP 71K, Rajasthan 69K, Odisha 63K, Maharashtra 66K, Madhya Pradesh 79K and Bihar 42K),

3) Service residence connection – 3,45,54,913 (Maximum in 43K, Bihar 57, Utter Pradesh 32K, West Bengal 22K, Madhya Pradesh 23K)

4) Total Projects executed 1,659 (DDUGJY 670 Nos, DDUGJY-RE XII Plan 273 Nos, DDUGJY-RE XI Plan 341 Nos, DDUGJY-RE X- Plan 235 Nos, Saubhagya projects are state specific)

5) Low Tension Lines – 12,99,707 Km

6) Distribution Transformers Substations – 16,24,170 Nos

7) 33/11 KV Power Substation – 2,700 Nos

8) Augmentation of existing 33/11 KV Power Substation – 4,398 Nos

9) Distribution transformers metering – 23,4193 Nos

10) Feeder maters – 14,021 Nos

11) Solar electrification of household:

a. Total Project sanction – 2,792 Nos (DDUGJY-RE XII Plan 54 Nos, DDUGJY-RE XI Plan 30 Nos, DDUGJY -2,708 Nos)

b. Total Capacity covered – 42,231 kWp (DDUGJY-RE X Plan 2,208 kWp, DDUGJY-RE XI Plan 2,370 kWp and DDUGJY 37,653 kWp)

c. Nos of beneficiaries covered under Solar Electrification – 2,04,324 Nos

Involved in Quality Assurance works executed in all above government scheme likes DDUGJY, DDUGJY-RE and Saubhagya projects. Following works were executed:

a) Field Inspection- sample Village and substation inspections - 2,32,109 Nos Villages inspected, 4,925 Nos 33/11KV Power Substation were inspected and 37,04,933 Nos defects were identified. Till 31.07.2021 approximately 35,12,404 Nos defect were rectified.

b) Electrical equipment inspection at Manufacturing works - Total 1,505 Projects were looked under which 7,612 inspection (about 10% of project quantities only) were inspected, 6,598 Inspection were accepted and 134 Inspections were rejected. Also, there were 880 Nos inspections which were declared as fake inspection.

c) Field Inspection of Solar Decentralized Distributed Generation projects: Total 3,305 Projects were looked under which 2,393 inspection (about 10% of project quantities only) were conducted, 1,91,557 Nos defects were intimated to project developers and till July'2021 about 21,366 Nos defects were reported complied.

To monitor execution of Physical Works at far off locations, a mobile interactive app were developed namely GARV. This was regularly updated by physically visit to villages by about 450 site-electrical engineers (called as Gram Vidhyut Abhiyantas). It provides physical work progress of all those villages where works are under executions like materials shifting, line erections, distribution transformers erections, line charging and electricity reaching to consumers. This app has also given progress of substations through pre-defined progress charts of different miles stones. National E-Governance Award 2016 - Gold in Innovative use of ICT by Central Government PSUs category for innovating the way, rural electrification works are undertaken. This app has also won Digital India Award – 2016 Silver in Best Mobile App category – Digital India award is one of the most prestigious awards for promoting IT initiatives by Government organizations. GARV App has also bagged the Editor’s choice award by Indian Express for Best Mobile App for year 2016.

DDUGJY and Saubhagya Projects were completed well within schedule. For this exercise a strong teams was cultivated having different organizations like State's Governments, Distribution Utilities, Contractors, Field Engineers teams and Site engineers. This progress of various teams were periodically reviewed, frequent site visits were undertaken, periodically review of working contractors was executed, common issues were rectified at no-point of time. Hon’ble Minister of State for Power & New & Renewable Energy, Government of India conferred a certificate of excellence on completion of 100% household electrification in the country under Saubhagya scheme on 26.02.2019.

For execution of major distributions project in India through various States, a common Standard Bidding Documents were framed. This documents has facilitated award & execution of 1,505 district wise distribution project on similar technical specification, similar bidder's qualification condition, similar contract condition and similar payments term of contract of Rs 225 Lakhs Crores (2.25 Billion Rupees). This documents has expedited frequent award of contract and resolved various site issues for faster progress.
