Detail-oriented lab assistant experienced in microscopy and research analysis. Developed growth mediums for moss and tracked development, now working in transposons. Ready to contribute and learn in innovative research.
As a lab assistant in a plant-based genetics lab, I've become familiar with using multiple levels of microscopes and tracking the development of moss under these for weeks. Furthermore, I worked to develop various mediums for the moss to grow in, specifically looking at responses to salt-stress in development.
Another aspect of this research is familiarizing myself with the current status of similar research, done through regular reading of scientific articles. This helped in expanding my own view and served as a model for my own documentation.
As an adventure guide, I learned to guide customers safely into possibly dangerous territory with caution and enthusiasm. I worked to teach customers their own independence, while continuing to learn from those who are more knowledgeable in the job.
