Integrated Body Unit (IBU Automotive) (2021 ~ 2023) [Hyundai Mobis] :
We as a team work on the Body Control Module (BCM) applications for Hyundai & Kia passenger and commercial vehicles. We develop features such as Anti-theft alarm, Exterior lighting, Interior lighting, Wiper-Washer, Trunk Tailgate control, Door locking and unlocking, and dashboard warnings. This BCM ECU in a vehicle is connected to many other ECUs and it drives various functions in the vehicle. These work products have been developed in legacy C coding. I have supported for India and Global variants of Hyundai & Kia models. I have worked on critical Hotfixes in a series of vehicles and received appreciation for the quick support.
Body Domain Controller (BDC Automotive) (2021~present) [Hyundai Mobis] :
BDC is an advanced ECU, here we work on the latest cutting edge automotive applications,
Body Control Module (BCM) applications such as Anti-theft, Power Trunk Tailgate, Power Seat, Outside Mirror control, Door Lock Unlock, Interior and Exterior Lighting, RKE (Remote Keyless Entry), Steering Wheel control, Wiper-washer.
And Smart Key (SMK) applications such as FOB (Function on Board), Terminal Manager (for shifting vehicle Ignition state) Authentication, Remote Start-Stop, Passive Access, Smart Trunk-Tailgate and warnings. SMK is an advanced module which provides enhanced convenience features for end users.
I lead a team of 7 Engineers for this BDC SW development and we support for Hyundai, Kia & Genesis all segment vehicles accounting to 35 vehicle models globally. And this development is MBD driven, we work on MATLAB Simulink models and generate C code through Embedded coder from the models, preform Model verification such as SIL & MIL. I have supported for many automations in this Model Based development, it has reduced a lot of manual efforts and making the SW more robust and aided in quick development of our work products. I have been an integral part of the complete SW development life cycle.
Balloon based environment monitor system (June ~ August 2019) [B.Tech]
Developed a balloon based payload which would monitor the environmental parameters such as Pressure, Humidity, Temperature, sunlight data and the position of the payload.
Driver assistance system (Jan ~ March 2020) [B.Tech]
We have developed a prototype of an autonomous vehicle which would identify the obstacles around it in all the directions and chooses to move in a path where there is no obstacle with the help of micro controller based platform and ultrasonic sensors. The car prototype was made similar to the present day automobiles equipped with the headlights, brake lights, reverse light and the indicators.
Wall climbing robot (July ~ August 2018) [B.Tech]
We have developed a wall climbing robot which will move on the walls against the gravity and is mainly intended for surveillance purposes.
Agricultural robot (September ~ October 2016) [B.Tech]
We have developed an Agricultural robot mainly intended to ease the job of the farmers. It will perform the work of ploughing, seeding, watering and weeding.
